Methodology

Evidence first, coverage second.

Inclusion. A facility or project is included only when a current public regulator, government source or project owner provides enough evidence to identify the facility, location and status. v1.0 intentionally covers a selected North American set rather than claiming global completeness.

Status. “Operating,” “Under construction” and “Pre-FID / development” reflect the cited public evidence, not an LNG Cluster prediction. Regulatory approval, export authorization, construction, commissioning and commercial operation are separate concepts.

Capacity. Capacity values retain the source unit where practical. Bcf/d and MTPA figures are not automatically converted or added together, avoiding false precision across differing source bases.

Map position. Coordinates are approximate geographic markers for discovery only. They are not engineering, legal-boundary, marine-navigation or site-survey coordinates.

Updates. Material source changes should trigger a record review. The version and verified date are published so users can judge freshness.
